Holistic Hypnosis & Hypnotherapy - Los Angeles Mandy Noyes "I just watched the Ben Hoffman show with your segment Brian. You were fantastic. A true hypnotist who knows how to go with the flow. I was so joyed to see you!!" Thanks Mandy. I did not realize he was going to be deliberately difficult, for the purposes of his program, so I took him at face value and just treated him as a client with obstacles. Being put under time pressure, I had to get him to relax in a hurry, with the added stress of the cameras, production team, etc. Relaxing in a hurry is of course a contradiction, but this is a show, not therapy. I knew something was up, but decided to be a good sport. I do what the circumstances allow. That's what they pay me for.

Well, here we go again. My phone rings, and I am given an invitation from Comedy Central. Ben Hoffman, a comedian, is also doing a life activities show, somewhat similar to the one I did with Rob and Big. He is going to have a segment on relaxation, and my invitation is to do a two minute segment on hypnotic relaxation. My next two minutes of video fame will perhaps eventually add up to my Andy Warhol prescription of fifteen minutes per person, here and there. We will film at my apartment/office again, on December 11th. When it will be shown, I don’t know. I did an interview for a show on Discovery Channel some time ago, but I don’t think it ever saw the light of day. Hypnohotshot

for the colostomy reversal surgery, after my near death
experience with a perforated colon last September.
 
Almost a year to the week.
 
The 4 hour operation, if all goes well, is mainly laparoscopic,
and could/should be routine.
I shall be out of commission for about 14 days,
give or take a few, if all goes well.

Turned out to be a complicated scam.
Who would have thought someone would impersonate a
Professor at a legitimate University!
 
I fell for it at first, having done exactly this in the past.
They must have sent out many invitations,
but this made it a stopped clock being right twice a day for me.
 
Now I have learned, independent verification is necessary with
anyone who I might want to deal with online.
As soon as I googled with scam, rip off, complaint,
The info came up. Be careful out there!

The FDA, having been defeated in Congress in their attempt
to take over vitamins and supplements 17 years ago,
by the storm of public protest that lead to counter legislation,
is trying to make an end run around that law.
 
Should they succeed, most supplements and vitamins
could disappear. I depend on them for several health issues.

Hypnosis & Hypnotherapy Los Angeles: What a surprise! An email was left for me on a personal growth website where I am listed as a resident expert. It was already there for two weeks before I visited the site by chance, on another matter. Like a message in a bottle washing up on the shore. It was an invitation to speak at a convention at the University of Arts, in London. After an exchange of emails, I am engaged at the beginning of August as the keynote speaker on the topic of�addiction. To speak to 1800 students in three one hour presentations. So I will be going back to to the UK for the first time in over thirty years, to London, my home town, expenses paid! To stay�at the Hilton Hotel�no less. God, whoever�or whatever that may be,�works in very mysterious ways. I hope (s)he it can make sure my US passport comes through in time. Being all knowing and all powerful, for God�that should be a snap.

Hi all. I was checking out at Trader Joes, after selecting my groceries. The young lady cashier, a bit "punk", this is West hollywood, appeared to be in her early twenties. She squinted at me and then said, "Are you a hypnotist?" Intrigued, I replied, "How did you know?" She had seen me in the video on MTV with Rob and Big, (link on http://ping.fm/0sN6y )months and months ago. I am somewhere in the middle for a couple of minutes. Fame at last! Hi all .. Incidentally, I have been thinking of offering small classes in Los Angeles, (more than 3 persons, would have to bring their own folding chair!) A client recently said to me, "You should teach.. you've got the goods." After being 5 years in psychotherapy. To add to a long list of enquiries and positive feedback.

I have been thinking about doing this for a while. Since my recent brush with death at now 69 years, I am far more in touch with my mortality, and the need to "do it now." The interview I did for the Keith Barry Show, on the Discovery Channel is out, a former client informs me. His actual words are, "You did a great job. Congratulations. Maybe it's on youtube already."

Brians Brush With Death.
For those who are interested: on September 20th 20010, I dialed 911, knowing something very bad was happening to me. Rushed to intensive care, had abdominal surgery for as it turned out, peritonitis due to a burst colon. Obstructed, no identified cause, no warning. The Doctors opined I had but a few hours to live prior to surgery. I was in intensive care for 2 weeks, hooked up to machines and tubes everywhere. The Docs would only say I could make it, not I would make it, for 10 days. All a blackout to me, I lost my mind at the time. Then I was off to a skilled nursing facility for 10 weeks, while the huge hollow in my belly healed up. Now I am back home 5 weeks, picking up the threads of my practice a bit here and a bit there, lots of time off, very low key.

I am a Certified drug and alcohol counselor. In my youngyears I personally saw two persons smoke pot for the first time, and have a psychotic break. A recent UK study shows that one out of four psychiatric emergency room visits by under 21 year olds are persons with heavy pot use. A client came to me as a hypnotherapist and said, "I have lost all motivation and I am having short term memory problems." Later, after his heavy daily pot smoking came out, I said. "As pot can cause "amotivational syndrome" and short term memory problems, we will never know if pot is responsible unless you stop smoking it!" He did, and recovered with counseling and hypnotherapy for his associated problems. Unless outside help can present another picture, it is almost impossible to be aware of the effects of a drug with the organ affected by the drug, i.e. the brain. Like any psychoactive drug, including prescription drugs and alcohol, some, but not all, will have to pay a heavy price for using it.

Even though I know pot is not a harmless teddy bear drug as many would like to think, I am in still favor of decriminalization as I have written elsewhere. Not because it is harmless relative to alcohol. Hypnotherapists, Simone. I got an email to you that opened to the video. Deleted it so I guess I am OK. (Thanks to your timely warning). Closed out of my virtual machine and restarted. No problems I can see. But I am scared they have my email address and will have to be especially careful about emails now.

Don't blame yourself. They chose your contacts, and who elses? I regularly get invitations to join "Grouply" - which I was warned leads to a massive spam attack, at a minimum. It is spread on yahoo hypnosis groups.

It also takes over the contact list and extends itself.

Brian on Pitch101.com - Internet Broadcast Radio -01/08/10 I have just put an audio link on my homepage to the "podcast" of a recent introductory interview I did on the Internet Broadcast Radio, Pitch101.com . I may well be adding one topic a month in future. I have not yet heard from Discovery Channel regarding when they will be using some of the interview I did for them. I am also in the process of making, initially, videos for Utube. Some clients of mine who are "in the business" are so enthusiastic about my hypnotherapy that they want to publicize it to the masses! A marketers dream come true. We have had the first brainstorming meeting yesterday, and they are telling me I will have my appearance designed by the person who does the wardrobe for a famous celebrity.
